About this song:
The first single and title track from the EP "Reap What You Sow" out on the 3rd September 2021, this song is Nancy Sinatra meets Peaky Blinders; it oozes female rage in this brooding and vengeful soundtrack. A new direction for my sound, I chose to explore the type of music that I love, but never felt before that I could write or perform. Lockdown made me look long and hard about what I wanted out of my life and career, and the songwriting that came out from that time was extremely liberating for me.
The EP itself represents the passing of a storm. It starts as brooding (Reap What You Sow), then grows into a full on storm (Roots), where all rage is released, to the wreckage and the aftermath (Chasing Time), and finally the sun coming out and letting go of those bad times (Time Waits For No Man, Dead Horse). It could also follow my emotions about events and how you start off angry, to then feeling broken by it, then picking yourself back up and finally moving on. I hope you love it. Here's to defying genre pigeonholes, and never making yourself smaller just to please a handful of people.
